DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — A songwriter and music industry entrepreneur from Atlanta has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing his girlfriend in Iowa.Justin Wright was found guilty of first-degree murder in April in the death of 20-year-old Wilanna Bibbs, and was sentenced Wednesday, the Quad-City Times reported.Wright, 34, also known as J Wright, founded Camp Entertainment Worldwide in 2011. His company worked with artists that included Bow Wow, Timbaland, Kash Doll and DJ Khalid, and he became a multi-platinum songwriter working with those acts. Two long-time St. Paul restaurants are closing before the end of the month.Fasika, which has been serving Ethiopian favorites for the past 22 years out of a storefront on Snelling Avenue, will close up shop after service on Saturday, June 17.The restaurant, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment, posted simply on its social media pages that it would close and thanked customers.Ethiopian immigrants Atnafu Yeshidagne and Menderen Gebretsadik opened the restaurant in 2001, serving spongy injera bread and stewed vegetables and meats along with other East African favorites.And Alary’s, which has been operating in downtown St. Paul since 1949, will close after service on Sunday, June 18.Current owner Nick Peterson has sold the building, and the new owners will close Alary’s and rebrand it. Only in Stillwater would city officials need to announce the closure of certain outdoor staircases.The Main Street Stairs are closed today and the Chestnut Street Stairs will be closed on Friday as crews “conduct essential repairs on certain water and sewer pipes within our community,” city officials wrote in a post on Facebook.The Main Street Stairs rise from South Main Street in downtown Stillwater to Broadway Street on the bluff overlooking the St. Croix River. The 157 stairs, which rise 115 vertical feet, are a popular workout spot. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The new 24–7 homeless shelter in Saratoga Springs is already at full capacity, housing 35 people. “The narrative that people want to be homeless and that there are people that want to be on the street instead of being housed is completely false," Sybil Newell, Executive Director for RISE Housing and Support Services, said. "I think this shelter is really showing that.
