Kiszla vs. Gabriel: Why has receiver Jerry Jeudy been a bust for the Broncos?

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 04:02:49 GMT

Kiz: It’s no longer a question if Jerry Jeudy has been a first-round draft bust for the Broncos, but why he has failed to become an impact player in the NFL. In a Denver offense we all agree is short of big-time playmakers, a major reason for the lack of explosiveness is that Jeudy too often performs like a possession receiver who’s also ineffective at finding the end zone. What has gone wrong? And how much of the blame for Jeudy’s shortcomings should we place on coach Sean Payton or quarterback Russell Wilson?Gabriel: Environment is always going to have an impact on the production and performance of players in the NFL, but Jeudy’s put up somewhat similar numbers since he got drafted regardless of whether the offense was run by Pat Shurmur or Nathaniel Hackett or Payton, quarterbacked by Drew Lock or Teddy Bridgewater or Wilson. Maybe all that turnover has something to do with it. But at the end of the day, it’s always mostly about the player himself. And Jeudy has...

Pretty Boy Floyd at the Whisky

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 04:02:49 GMT

Pretty Boy Floyd at the Whisky: Through unkind, cynical eyes, Pretty Boy Floyd might always be viewed as the also-rans of the Hollywood sleaze rock scene. Their debut album, Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz, wasn’t released until ’89, when the whole hair movement was in the process of winding down, and while the “Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)” single remains a crowd favorite, they didn’t have any major hits. But here’s the thing — it takes more than a few chartbusters to create a valid scene. PBF have a few full lengthers jam-packed with quality, anthemic hard rock, and they continue to work their butts off. This show celebrates their 30th anniversary, and they sure deserve a party.TangenT, Ten Cent Revenge, Villa Nova, Civil Strife, Red Vinyl Gypsies, and Morrigan also perform.Pretty Boy Floyd at the Whisky: The event takes place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 28 at the Whisky A Go Go.             &nb...
