Denver International Airport is one step closer to becoming “one of the greenest airports in the world,” airport officials announced Wednesday. The airport earlier this month completed capping the 64 oil and gas wells across its property, among the first items in the airport’s Vision 100 plan to make DIA more sustainable and eliminate environmental hazards. Airport officials first announced this project in 2018 after shutting the wells down in part due to environmental concerns and the exit of a supporting partner of the wells. The closure of the wells will allow the airport “to grow and move forward in a way that’s conscientious, sustainable, and smart while avoiding the risk of methane leaks and other related pollutants, while conserving water, resources and energy,” according to a news release. The closing of the wells also marks the virtual end of oil and gas activities in Denver, Mayor Mike Johnston said.“The wells at DEN were the only wells loc...In-custody death at Limon Correctional Facility ruled a homicide

The move was initially reported by Bloomberg News.Rachel Levine, the assistant director for health, sent a letter to DEA Administrator Anne Milgram asking for marijuana to be lowered from the harshest classification, which is "defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse," to the third tier, which includes "drugs with a moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence," as defined by the DEA. It’s not exactly breaking news that California is among the most expensive states in the nation when it comes to home prices, rent, gasoline, utilities, and, well, most things. Now, a new survey outlines how much someone needs to earn as a “living wage” to live comfortably in California and the other 49 U.S. states. The personal finance website GoBankingRates.com looked at data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and research by the state of Missouri to determine how much single people, not couples or families, pay in necessities each year. Then, those amounts were doubled to factor in discretionary spending and savings.States that require the highest living wage for individuals are Hawaii ($112,411) followed by Massachusetts ($87,909) and then California ($80,013).“That’s not surprising when you realize that median home values are also highest in Hawaii, California and Massachusetts,” the study's authors noted.According to the California Association of Realtors, the median price...Suspect in Uber crash that killed 3 in South Los Angeles was on probation for murder
